Dr Julia Gatley is an architectural historian, an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Auckland Waipapa Taumata Rau, and a Fellow of Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects. She has written widely on New Zealand architecture, including four books with Auckland University Press. Her most recent book, co-authored with John H. Stubbs, William Chapman, and Ross King, is Architectural Conservation in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands: National Experiences and Practice (New York: Routledge, 2024).
