NZIA CPD Days - Little Boxes? The Shape of Affordability in the Modern City

This NZIA event, running alongside the Buildnz / Designex trade show, will bring together architects from New Zealand and Australia with strong track records in the fields of lower-cost and medium-density housing.

From New Zealand: Dave Strachan (Strachan Group Architects), Chris Kelly (Architecture Workshop), and Craig Roberts ( Designgroup Stapleton Elliott).

From Australia: Eli Giannini (McGauran Giannini Soon), Paul Porjazoski (Bent Architecture), and Diego Ramirez ( Monash Architecture Studio).

Other contributors include Nicole Gurran ( University of Sydney), James Hook (Envivo), Tony Lanigan (New Zealand Housing Foundation), Pamela Bell (PrefabNZ), David Irwin (Isthmus Group) and Katja Lietze (Hobsonville Land Corp).

Politicians will also present their perspectives. From the Government: Nick Smith, Minister of Housing; from the Opposition, Phil Twyford, Labour’s housing spokesperson; and from Auckland Council, deputy mayor Penny Hulse.
