NABERSNZ – industry panel

The NZGBC will be holding a NABERSNZ industry panel in Auckland on Thursday 3 April from 5pm to 7pm, where attendees will learn how NABERSNZ will impact on the New Zealand commercial property sector from industry experts including property owners, tenants and designers.

Speakers include:

Tim Griffith, National Property and Administration Manager, IAG NZ
What does NABERSNZ mean for tenants? Tim will talk about IAG’s NABERSNZ work and the benefits of ratings to tenants – including staff engagement and cost reduction.

Scott Smith, NZ Lead - Applied Research and Sustainable Buildings, AECOM
How do designers and developers ensure good NABERSNZ ratings? Scott will discuss the features that deliver efficiency improvements and the tenant / landlord interaction that can have a dramatic impact on results.

Connal Townsend, Chief Executive, Property Council New Zealand (TBC)
NABERSNZ is set to be an industry- wide benchmark. How important is energy efficiency in today’s commercial property market - will performance leases and NABERSNZ drive improvement? Connal will outline the key issues and trends.
