Harbour City Tower building tour
This is an opportunity to tour the recently completed retrofit of the Harbour City Tower building for Contact Energy’s enlarged Head Office functions in CBD Wellington.
The project has involved the re-strengthening of this landmark building and the transformation of the original central external lightwell into a fully working internal atrium, which has dramatically improved the interconnectivity of the 6000 sqm over the 5 levels occupied by Contact.
Hear from the landlord and the consultant team that delivered this project:
Spencer Brown: Spencer was the project manager throughout the three-year refurbishment programme during partial occupation.
John Milford: John, general manager of Kirkcaldie & Stain, the building’s owner, will be talking about the owner challenges.
Stephen McDougall: Stephen, director of Studio Pacific Architecture, will talk about the design challenges and solutions developed.
Adam Thornton: Adam, director of Dunning Thornton, will talk about the concept on this major re-strengthening project including the reworking of an exterior light well into an internal working atrium
This event will be held on Tuesday 10 December 2013, 5.15pm for a 5.30pm start, at Contact Energy, Level 2 Reception, 29 Brandon Street, Wellington and will be followed by Christmas drinks at 6.30pm at Z Energy, Level 1, 3 Queens Wharf, Wellington
