Local theatre and musical performances jostle with heavy-hitting overseas productions in this seventh biennial festival.

Highlighs include:

  • The Colenso BBDO (4-22 March) includes cabaret, circus, acrobatics, sounds and humor. At Paradiso Spiegelent, Aotea Square.
  • Lady Sings the Blues (18 March at Paradiso Spiegelent, Aotea Square) includes performances by Ladi6, Hollie Smith, Whirimako Black, Annie Crummer and Julia Deans celebrate the songs of Billie Holiday.
  • Depedro by Spanish guitarist Jairo Zavala (5 March at Paradiso Spiegelent, Aotea Square) is a mix of Cuban sounds, Afrobeat and Latin rock.
  • At Osadía (20-22 March at the TimeOut Festival Garden, Aotea Square), hairdressers from Barcelona are offering free do-ups.
  • TimeOut Festival Garden (4-22 March) includes free family-based events, music and art installations.
