2015 Wellington LUX Festival

Wellington’s waterfront and laneways will feature more than 30 light sculptures and interactive installations as part of 2015 Wellington LUX Festival. The event runs from 21-30 August; with lights coming on at 6pm and switching off at 11pm.

The illuminated art works were selected from 60 submissions by artists from across New Zealand and overseas. This year’s festival also includes work from students and staff at Massey and Victoria universities.

LUX founder Chris Bennewith says the interest from artists and spectators has continued to grow in the five years since LUX was introduced to Wellington.
