‘Our Land’ photographic exhibition

New Zealand photographer Dan Max presents ‘Our Land’, a series of 22 limited edition works documenting the relationship between the people and the landscape of New Zealand’s West Coast. A soft, timeless aesthetic is achieved through the printing of photographs onto Hahnemühle rag, a German fine art etching paper.

“The photographic study sets out to observe, without intrusion, the varied relationships New Zealanders have with their land. With the narrative of a painting, these photographs constantly contradict themselves,” says Max.

‘Our Land’ runs from 2 May to 15 May at 14 Maidstone Street, Ponsonby, Auckland.
