Lost Property 2

The Lost Property website and exhibitions are part of an ongoing project to raise awareness and document facets of our fast disappearing built and social history. They attempt to make visible much of the information largely held in the memories or libraries of a disappearing generation.

Lost Property 2 is an exhibition that will bring to light the unknown or neglected works and histories of Franz Iske, Barton Gillespie, Noel Bierre and artist James Turkington.

The modernist era was captured in its arts and architecture, sometimes uncompromising, challenging and provocative, and although many of these works have now disappeared to progress and the onslaught of style over substance, much can be gained by revisiting this galvanising era.
