King’s Cross: Regenerating a London Landmark
The exhibition will feature original drawings, photographs, models and film footage of the regenerated station, within the contexts of design, preservation and civic renewal.
Designed by architects John McAslan + Partners and engineered by Arup, the recently opened station is now triple its original size, with a re-orientated entrance to enhance transportation links with St Pancras, making the combined stations one of the largest in Europe.
Because of the Harry Potter series, King’s Cross Station has become part of popular culture and 9 3/4 platform is actually labelled in the station, but don’t break your nose attempting to run into the wall.
