The Bundanon Trust is offering visitors a rare insight into the early years of Bundanon’s history with an exhibition of images from artists Arthur and Yvonne Boyd’s properties, including family photos and photos of the local community.

The exhibition includes early images of Bundanon, Riversdale and Eearie Park in New South Wales, and the many locals who lived and farmed the properties. The flying fox at Eearie Park, the punt across the river and the social gatherings at neighbouring farms are all captured. The Trust’s unique collection of Boyd family photographs provides an insight into the private life of this celebrated artistic family. Images from the founding years of the Trust and the building of the Boyd Education Centre are also included.

Bundanon Trust holds the properties and collections as a charitable trust, after it received them as a gift from Arthur and Yvonne Boyd in 1993. The couple believed that you can’t own a landscape and wanted others to have the opportunity to draw inspiration from Bundanon.

Bundanon is open every Sunday from 10.30 am to 4 pm.

Guided tours are available through the homestead, heritage garden and Arthur Boyd’s studio. Visitors to the property are invited to bring a picnic, take a self-guided bush walk and enjoy the landscape that has inspired so many people.
