International Federation of Landscape Architects World Congress 2013
The International Federation of Landscape Architects is an organisation that represents the landscape architectural profession globally. It provides leadership and networks and supports the development of the profession and its effective participation in the realisation of attractive, equitable and sustainable environments.
The 2013 Congress, which is being held in Auckland, New Zealand, is the 50th IFLA congress and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of NZILA in New Zealand. The World Congress will be show-casing a number of Auckland’s landscape features and built environments, as well as other New Zealand landscapes and projects in a series of field trips and pre and post congress tours.
The theme for this World Congress will focus on knowledge sharing around the increasingly challenging issues facing our local and global environments in an age of considerable change. It will provoke thought as to how the landscape profession can and should participate in the shaping and management of the future.
