Breaking New Ground: NZPI conference

This year’s New Zealand Planning Institute (NZPI) conference, Breaking New Ground, will take place at ASB Arena, Tauranga, from 21–23 March. The conference will look at new methods influencing professional practice, as well as planning for both growth and decline.

Breaking New Ground will be hosted in Tauranga, a key urban hub located within the thriving regional economy of the Bay of Plenty. Such economic growth does not come without its challenges, and the conference will focus on the pressures of growth and development on our natural environment.

Each year the conference draws planning leaders, iwi, and practitioners from local government, universities and consultancies, into a forward-focused discourse on the challenges and opportunities ahead in relation to planning best practice and implementation.
