The annual New Zealand Institute of Building (NZIOB) Placemakers Golf Day was a hit this year with nearly 150 construction industry professionals teeing off at Remuera Golf Club on Monday 11 February.

The themed event, Around the World in 18 Holes, incorporated different activities at each hole, with sponsors each aligned to a country.

Golfers were treated to everything from an English pub, complete with darts and ale on tap, at the Progressive Building magazine hole, to hula-hoops in the Pacific Islands at the NZIOB’s area, and a snap New Zealand geography quiz presented by Resene.

The day culminated with a dinner, prize giving and drinks at the clubhouse. ECL Group won the overall team competition, while the team from TGIB were deemed best dressed.

The supreme winner of the Progressive Building magazine competition will be announced in the April issue, along with a selection of great snaps from the day.
