Warren and Mahoney appoints new independent director to board
Warren and Mahoney, which now operates multi-nationally, has appointed Australian-based Lisa Chung as independent director of the board of directors. Chung joins existing independent director Richard Leggat, being the first to be permanently based in Australia.
Graeme Finlay, Warren and Mahoney’s Chair, says, “Lisa brings extensive senior and board-level experience across key sectors including commercial property and infrastructure; professional services; creative arts and social and community services. She joins the practice at a time when we are succeeding in building a strong, sustainable future for the business and being invited to design significant commissions in Australia and beyond.”
Chung comes from a background in law as a partner at Maddocks Lawyers and has been contributing to private and listed companies’ boards for two decades. She is also currently serving on the boards for Australian Unity, Artspace/Visual Arts Centre and the Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas.
Chung is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the Australian Institute of Managers and Leaders and a member of the AICD’s NFP Chairs Forum and Chief Executive Women. She is also a member of the Order of Australia (General Division) as recognition of her services to the community.
“Joining Warren and Mahoney’s board presents an exciting opportunity to work with a leading firm of architects that have a reputation for delivering excellent outcomes for clients in areas in which I have a long-standing passion: design, placemaking and precinct creation,” Chung says.
