Tāmaki Makaurau Office Architecture (TOA) is looking to hire an architectural graduate/technician to join their team.

About the role

Due to our rapid expansion, we are seeking an architectural graduate/technician passionate about great design and architectural drawings. You will be working alongside a talented team of other graduates, architects, Te Ao Māori advisors, landscape and urban specialists and project managers.

Responsibilities

  • Working on a range of projects from early concept stage to construction
  • The ability to work collaboratively across our team and with external consultants
  • Self-management and the capability to work on projects independently where needed
  • Good written and verbal communication and confidence to interact with clients when required
  • Can demonstrate detailed knowledge of NZ Building Codes and NZS3604
  • A passion for documentation and proficient in technical detailing
  • An understanding of NZ construction methods, Building Consent and Resource Consent procedures
  • A passion for Te Reo Māori is highly desirable, or willing to learn – we will teach you! He manaakitanga te reo Māori!
  • Expertise working within at least one of the following areas: Standalone & Multi-Residential, Apartments, Commercial and Civic projects
  • On-site construction observation experience is an advantage

Qualifications and skills

  • Professional architectural degree/diploma
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working within a NZ architectural practice
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Revit required
  • Competency in Adobe Suite & Microsoft Office software is an advantage
