Taranaki region’s supreme homes revealed
A family home in Taranaki, built by Fowler Homes Taranaki, has been awarded the Supreme Award in the Taranaki region Registered Master Builders 2014 House of the Year.
Fowler Homes Taranaki took out a Gold Award and category win for the James Hardie New Homes $450,000 - $600,000 award, as well as the Registered Master Builders Supreme Award for House of the Year. The company also received two Gold Awards, a category win and the Craftsmanship Award for other entries.
The judges praised Fowler Homes Taranaki for a high-quality build that lends itself well to its surroundings.
“Built to make the most of the sun and boasting stunning interior timber work, this is a fine example of a comfortable family home,” they said.
“Set in lovely grounds, this is a nicely balanced, beautifully built New Zealand home that the builder should be proud to put his name to.”
The results were announced at a gala dinner on Friday, 8 August at the Quality Hotel Plymouth International. The event was attended by members of the local building industry and the Taranaki Region Registered Master Builders.
There were seven Gold Award winners from the Taranaki Region which will now be assessed alongside Gold Award winners from across the country to find the National Gold Reserve finalists, to be announced in early September.
