New sector leads and principals appointed at Ignite
The firm has announced five associate directors have been promoted to sector lead positions, with three directors also now named as principals.
After 35 years in business, Ignite has created the position of sector lead, in order for senior designers to better utilize their expertise while leading projects in their respective sectors. The new sector leads are Jennis Lee for education, Damian Simpson for healthcare, Mark Crean for aged care, Grant Bannatyne for commercial, and Audrey de Filippis for hotel and tourism. The new principals are Jeremy Whelan, Grant Armstrong and Michael Bilsborough.
Speaking about the new sector leads, Whelan says that “these talented designers are the next generation of leaders at Ignite. They’ve played an influential role in our development to date and are huge contributors to the ongoing success of our projects. I know Ignite will continue to flourish through their leadership”.
Commenting on the changes to their senior leadership, Whelan emphasised that it allows for an increased adaptability for the firm with the intention of allowing for a more holistic view of organisational growth. “Building on Ignite’s well-established track record, the new structure allows us to really focus on responding to industry demands,” Whelan says. “And, as we continue to evolve, it gives us the flexibility to expand into new sectors with the right people in the right place.”
