Malcolm is a former New Zealand Institute of Building national councillor and has been acting CEO for the Institute since March 2015.

In announcing the appointment, NZIOB national president, Grant Harris said, “Since Malcolm’s appointment as acting CEO we have seen the NZIOB transform its operational capability, visibility and level of engagement with industry stakeholders.”

Malcolm started his construction career with Resene Paints in the mid-1990s. For the past 12 years he has been director of Wellington-based Accent Architects. Malcolm holds a Bachelor’s degree in property and a Master’s degree in management from Massey University.
