New issue of Urbis out now
Inside the October edition of Urbis you’ll find a fashionable feast of ideas, people and designs. This is our Fashion Issue, so we have beautiful shoots of key pieces from some of the country’s top fashion designers, as well as hot accessories and a selection of bespoke dresses made just for Urbis that will shortly be auctioned for charity. We delve into the interesting phenomenon of sisters both working as designers for competing fashion labels, and take a close look at five men with attitude who bring design appreciation to their wardrobes.
It’s not all fashion, though. Urbis interviews Japanese architect Shigeru Ban who has proposed a temporary cathedral in Christchurch made out of cardboard tubes. We also have an exclusive feature on the winning houses from the HOUSES Awards showing you the best architecturally-designed projects in Australia. Closer to home, we get a glimpse of a beautifully renovated villa filled with extraordinary art. Urbis then travels to Los Angeles and gets the local’s guide to this sunny city. We cover the best things happening in the art scene, as well as designers to watch, cool products, hot cars and gadgets.
Also in this issue, Tissot are giving away His and Hers watches to one lucky reader. So don’t miss out, subscribe here or grab your copy at any good retail store.
Urbis is a complete design and style guide, and features the hottest news in design, architecture, interiors, art, fashion, books, motoring, travel and technology, from New Zealand and around the world.
