New issue of Houses out now
Celebrating summer - the December issue of Houses is out now.
Inside the December issue of Houses you will find eight sleek New Zealand houses from around the country. In this summer issue we focus on that most summer of kiwi traditions - the holiday house.
We have chosen four fine examples, from Wanaka, Omaha, Queen Charlotte Sound and Pauanui. Architects Barry Condon, Carolyn Smith, Brendon Monk and Frans Kamermans have designed holiday houses that provide the occupants with fully functional spaces to be enjoyed all year round. We also take a look inside four more fantastic examples of New Zealand architecturally designed houses by Wilson & Hill Architects, Matter, Context Architects, and Guy Herschell Architects.
In our books page we feature a great holiday read, Summer Houses by Simon Devitt and Andrea Stevens. We have three copies of this to give away to our readers.
David Sheppard, Director of Christchurch based Sheppard & Rout Architects talks about his life and New Zealand residential architecture. We also feature interviews with textile designer-maker Genevieve Packer, and architectural graduate Barrington Gohns.
Get some great pointers from the New Zealand Green Building Council on how to make your house a green machine with the Green Star rating tool. Also in this issue LG are giving away a French Door Fridge worth $4799. So don’t miss your opportunity to be in to win - subscribe here or get a copy of Houses at any good magazine retailer.
