New issue of Architecture New Zealand out now
Architecture New Zealand’s July/August edition is out now – and in it you’ll find a showcase of the best architecture New Zealand has to offer through the NZIA Local Architecture Awards, the much-talked about rebuild of the Knox Presbyterian Church in Christchurch by Wilkie + Bruce Architects, and an interview of Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena from Elemental.
This issue also presents a varied range of other projects from the country’s most inventive architects. Among them are The Blyth Performing Arts Centre by Stevens Lawson Architects at Iona College in Havelock North, which expresses organic forms through its lively space, while the Te Atatu Peninsula Library by Moller Architects features dynamic interior spaces, with a colourful, unique exterior.
Alongside the projects are up-to-the-minute news items, a piece on the recent Interior Awards and a review on a talk by Paul Kerr-Hislop of Art + Architecture.
Published six times a year, Architecture New Zealand is the country’s most widely read and highly regarded architecture magazine. Each issue presents thoughtful insights, independent reviews of the latest projects, insightful comments on key issues, and news, views and informed discussion of practice matters.
