Meet Kada: Sponsor of the Interior Awards 2025
We invited the team at Kada to reflect on their 14 years of supporting the Interior Awards by selecting a few standout projects from their time as sponsors.

MinterEllisonRuddWatts Auckland Office Fitout by Jasmax Workplace (over 1000m2) Finalist 2021.
John Gilbert: The Minter Ellison Rudd Watts Auckland office, spanning levels 19-22 of the PWC Tower in Commercial Bay, combines timeless design with modern sophistication. The design integrates traditional materials such as dark timber, natural stone and polished brass with contemporary touches to create a harmonious, refined space. The interior’s interplay of light and dark complements the firm’s New Zealand art collection while reflecting its professional identity. Kada was proud to contribute to this Greenstar development, delivering a workspace that promotes both operational efficiency and cultural cohesion, proving that large offices can still feel intimate and aligned with a company’s values.

Magistrates – Richards Partners by Young + Richards/Nigel Rye - Workplace (up to 1000m2) Finalist 2020.
Kate Lee: Higher Ground by Richards Partners is a small workspace that proves size doesn’t limit impact. Thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed, the space exemplifies restraint, balance and the power of considered details. Every element, from warm timber tones to curated materials, creates an immersive and calming atmosphere. It reminds us that great design is about purpose, not scale. The historic building’s architecture seamlessly blends with a modern, minimalist interior.
The main boardroom showcases Vitra Softshell Chairs in an electric blue fabric, while Bene’s clean and refined worktables and modular shelving system create defined spaces for focused work. The project exemplifies how even the smallest spaces, when crafted with care and intentionality, can leave a lasting impression and create meaningful experiences.

Faradays by Cheshire Architects - Retail Award winner and Supreme Award 2023
Lily Gilbert: Faradays by Cheshire Architects is a standout project for its ability to transform a retail space into an immersive experience. The design is a blend of old-world opulence and modern sophistication, with rich materials, soft lighting and sculptural forms. The design exudes a sense of drama and luxuryvand feels as though the focus is not just about displaying products but how customers appreciate them. The project pushes design boundaries.

Kada was asked to select a product from its portfolio that the design industry should know more about. The team selected the Softshell Chair designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Vitra.
The Softshell Chair from Vitra is one of the finest on the market, offering exceptional comfort and versatility. Available in a variety of finishes and base options, it adapts effortlessly to hospitality, residential and commercial environments.
