Jasmax appoints new interior design lead
Jasmax has announced the appointment of a new interior design lead, associate principal Kathryn Roberts. Roberts has joined the firm following her return to Auckland after a stint of overseas experience working with large tech clients such as Google, Genentech, and HP in California.
The company notes that Roberts’ experience working across projects featuring large campuses will bring an international edge to their New Zealand projects. She will sit across all practice groups.
Roberts says, “Good interior strategy and design is crucial for the future of businesses. Clear design vision increases productivity and performance, and staff retention. More and more people are valuing lifestyle and wellbeing, and the balance and choice of amenities that a sustainable, well-designed workplace strategy and fit out provides is key.” She notes that New Zealand is seen as a design leader worldwide.
Roberts started with Jasmax as a graduate in 2008, working on large projects like AUT’s Sir Paul Reeves Building and the National Library of New Zealand in Auckland. She says she is thrilled to be back with the firm. Since returning, she has taken on a lead interior design role for AUT University, working on their North Shore Campus revitalisation.
