The Interior Awards celebrated its 13th year of honouring New Zealand’s best interiors at St Matthew-in-the-City on Thursday 4 July 2024, with a full house of guests from across the architecture and interior design community.
The night was hosted by emcee Simon Dallow, and hospitality was provided by Thomson Whisky, 1919 Gin, fantastic wines from Čuvar, beer from Hallertau and waters from San Pellegrino and Acqua Panna; Flower Systems and Tiny Anvil providing the floral embellishments. Build Interiors hosted the after party at private memebrs club The Shy Guy – its interior designed by 2024 finalists Izzard Design.
Motion graphic artists Mulk created a spectacular artwork that was projection-mapped onto the neo-Gothic interior of the 120-year-old church.
A big thank you to MUFG Market Services who kindly hosted our finalist presentations this year and a massive thanks to our jury — Ana Heremaia (ĀKAU), Dorian Minty (Studio Pacific Architecture), Gosha Haley (Grimshaw Auckland), Andrew Patterson (Patterson Associates), and convenor of the jury Amanda Harkness (Architecture NZ).
