Nominations are now being accepted for the New Zealand Institute of Building GIB® Awards for Excellence in the Building Professions. 

NZIOB challenges all building industry people aged 35 or younger to take stock of their career and consider entering the award. The NZIOB / Progressive Building magazine Young Achiever Award recognises a person with vision who is deemed to have the potential to make a significant lifetime contribution to the building industry through their personal skill and judgment.

These Awards recognise excellence of individuals or teams engaged in the entire building industry and professions in the disciplines of design, construction, installation, teaching and building research. Principals, construction managers, project managers, designers, surveyors, engineers, architects, tutors, innovators – future leaders who demonstrate leadership, capability and commitment to both the industry and the wider profession.

The awards categories include work related to commercial, industrial, residential, refurbishment fit-out, institutional, civil projects or any other aspect of building. The relevant project must have been practically completed in New Zealand less than 18 months prior to 30 April 2012, which is also the deadline for entries.
