A gastronomical refuge
Pennant & Triumph have added another exciting aspect to the concept store The Shelter in Auckland’s Ponsonby. The Shelter was named winner of the Retail category at the 2015 Interior Awards and with their newly refitted café, Eat, the design brush has been extended across the space, introducing custom built tables and cabinetry.
The Eat café will provide a relaxed, artistic experience for the customer, anchored by a bespoke art wall by street art collective BMD . Owners Vicki Taylor and Mark Thomson have curated the Eat café experience, drawing upon a pool of talented local New Zealand design companies. As with all of The Shelter, Vicki Taylor has strongly led the design.
Eight thirty coffee will fuel the coffee machine, and there will be a daily delivery of treats from Adele at Catroux. Jean-Remy Didier, an expert manager who has worked all over the world from Marseille to Australia, will run the café.
